Job introduction

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join the team at Craven Vale.

Craven Vale provides community short term services that supports people being discharged from hospital or to avoid unnecessary admissions to hospital.

The service provides rehabilitation which aims to regain people's independence and enable them to return home or to a more suitable placement.

We are looking for a person who enjoys working as part of a multidisciplinary team who is organised and solution focused. There will be out of hours working to include weekends and bank holidays.

About the role

The Assistant Cook post forms part of an essential rota of kitchen staff within Wayfield Avenue that plan, order and prepare varied, nutritious and appetising meals for service users as part of the care offered to them. Often needing to provide specialist meals to meet particularly dietary requirements.

The Assistant Cook works with the Kitchen Supervisor to ensure the kitchen maintains safe delivery of food and cleanliness meeting essential food hygiene and infection control regulations.

Additional information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.

Work Permits: This role does not meet the requirement for UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) Points-based Immigration System. Successful candidates will need to evidence that they have the Right to Work in the UK.

Regulations now require all staff who undertake work within CQC registered care homes to be fully vaccinated against Covid 19, unless they satisfy one of the medical/legal exemptions.  Being fully vaccinated or being medically/legally exempt will be a condition of your employment and you will be required to provide evidence of your vaccination status or medical/legal exemption as part of the recruitment process for this role
