Built originally in 1856 and refurbished most recently in 2013, the North and South Chapels are either side of the main crematorium building.

The Extra-Mural Chapel is a Grade II listed building in the Extra-Mural Cemetery, built in 1851, and set far apart from the main crematorium building.

A quiet corner of the Remembrance Garden at Woodvale Crematorium has been set aside and developed as a secluded garden for the strewing of cremated remains of infants.

The crematorium is based within the large wooded area of Lewes Road cemetery.
