The Books of Remembrance
There's a Book of Remembrance for each chapel in the Hall of Memory. You can arrange an entry in the book to remember your loved one.
In each book, there's a page for each day of the year. Entries are written under the date of death. If the person's funeral was not at Woodvale an entry can still be put in the Books of Remembrance.
Inscription options
A highly skilled calligrapher will hand-inscribe your entry.
You can choose an inscription with a minimum of 2 lines and a maximum of 8 lines. There's room for 35 characters (including spaces) per line.
Artwork can only go with an inscription of a minimum of 5 lines. Send us an example of the artwork you would like.
Replicas
We can also offer a copy of the inscription in the form of a:
- miniature remembrance card
- miniature book with several pages for future use

How to arrange an entry
If you're the person who arranged the funeral, you can arrange an entry in a Book of Remembrance. If you're not the person who arranged the funeral, you'll need to get their consent.
We can only offer 1 entry per deceased person.
If you want the entry to be written before the first anniversary of the person's death, apply no later than 6 months after the funeral.
