The Upstanders Network
The Upstanders Network brings together a range of diverse community groups and services to stand against hate and all forms of extremism.
What the Upstanders Network is
Upstanders Network provides a forum for diverse groups to share experiences of hate crime in their communities, feedback to services, work together on collaborative projects and events, and share the joint message that there is no place for hate in our city.
The network raises awareness of how anyone can be an upstander. Being an upstander can involve:
- reporting incidents
- helping with evidence
- supporting a harmed person
- safely de-escalating situations
