Council telephone systems

We are moving to a new telephone system. This may cause some initial issues and disruption to calls while it is being set up. If you have any issues, you may wish to call back at another time. We appreciate your patience while we implement the new system and apologise for any disruption that you may experience.

Brighton & Hove City Council is keen to encourage walking in the city. You can reach most of the central areas on foot within 15 minutes.

Our aim is to make getting about and exploring on foot more pleasant and safer for residents and visitors. Find out what we're doing about road safety and making walking in the city safer.

You can:

  • request a road safety improvement through Safer, Better Streets
  • report a problem with pavements and roads in the city
  • ask us to fix street lighting in the city
  • find out about park and green spaces

You can also join the Brighton and Hove Living Streets walking advocacy group which aims to promote Brighton and Hove as a walkable city, accessible to and enjoyed by everyone. Find out more about Brighton and Hove Living Streets.
