Read the terms and conditions of use for concessionary travel such as the older person's and disabled person's bus pass.
Terms and conditions
Before you start your application, you need to agree that:
- this bus pass is only for you to use, and won’t be used by anyone else
- you can only get a pass if you’re a permanent resident of Brighton & Hove
- you can no longer use the pass if it expires or if it’s altered, broken or defaced in any way
- the pass is the property of Brighton & Hove City Council and you may have to return it if asked
- you have to scan your pass when you board any bus that has a card reader
- if your pass doesn’t scan on a card reader, you may be asked to pay the appropriate bus fare
- you have to show your pass when asked by any bus driver or Revenue Protection Officer
- officers may also check that your pass is being used by the registered pass holder
- you have to follow the bus operator’s conditions of carriage
- you have to return your card to us if you move out of Brighton & Hove
