The information displayed is regularly updated and is correct to the best of our knowledge.

It does not constitute a definitive statement as to the status of any particular highway. It provides information as to whether a road is an adopted highway that's maintainable at public expense.

The motorway and trunk road network is the responsibility of the Highways Agency. All enquiries concerning proposed motorway or trunk road improvements and the extent of highways should be directed to the Highways Agency.

Additional highway search fees

If you require additional information such as road widening scheme information, or require information and a plan showing the extent of a publicly maintainable highway, the fee is £40 (including VAT).
