MyAccount temporarily unavailable

Some users may experience intermittent issues signing into our MyAccount service. This is due to high demand following the issuing of new Council Tax bills for the 2026/27 financial year.  If you do experience any issues signing in, try again later.  Sorry for any inconvenience.

Communal bin collections

Some communal waste collections are currently disrupted due to the need for essential repairs to specialist vehicles. Repairs are underway, and we expect to have them back on the road within the next week. Read our full update on communal bin collections.

ORCS electric vehicle chargepoint rollout complete - more installs planned

We’re expanding the number of Electric Vehicle (EV) charging points to help meet Brighton & Hove’s growing demand.

Already one of the best covered cities in the UK, we’ve added 100 new lamppost chargepoints and 12 new twin chargers using On-Street Residential Chargepoint Scheme (ORCS) funding. The rollout of the 100 lamppost chargepoints began in July and completed in October 2024. Twin chargepoints began in March and completed in July 2025 and were subject to Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) consultations, as these are dedicated EV only bays.

It takes the total number of chargepoints in the city to just over 500 with hundreds more set to follow in the next few years thanks to the multi-million pound grant, Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (LEVI) fund, with installs anticipated to begin before the end of 2025 with new contracts now signed with 3 chargepoint operators (CPOs), Char.gy, Blink Charging and Believ.
