New electric vehicle charge point rollout gets underway
We’re expanding the number of Electric Vehicle (EV) charging points to help meet Brighton & Hove’s growing demand.
Already one of the best covered cities in the UK, we’ve just added 100 new lamppost chargepoints and are in the process of adding 12 new twin chargers. The rollout of the 100 lampost chargepoints began in July and completed in October 2024. Twin chargepoints were subject to Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) consultations, as these are dedicated EV only bays.
It takes the total number of chargepoints in the city close to 500 with hundreds more set to follow in the next few years thanks to a multi-million pound grant.
Below are the locations of the Lamp Column chargepoints and the newly installed Twin chargepoints. All provisional locations are subject to change and may be removed following viability site surveys.
