You can apply for, renew, or cancel a cycle hangar space using MyAccount.

Who can apply for a cycle hangar space

Anyone who is a resident of Brighton & Hove can apply for a space in a cycle hangar as long as they live close enough to the cycle hangar and there is availability.

You can apply for up to 2 spaces per household.

Before you apply for a cycle hangar space

Before you apply for a space in one of our cycle hangars, make sure you:

We've changed the way cycle hangar permits are managed.

You will need to sign in or register for MyAccount to:

  • apply for a cycle hangar space or be put on a waiting list
  • view details of your current cycle hangar permit
  • renew your cycle hangar space
  • cancel your cycle hangar space

If you already have a cycle hangar permit

If you already have a cycle hangar permit, you can link the permit to your MyAccount using your permit number, location ID and match reference number.

1. Select the parking, travel and transport tile.

2. Choose the cycle hangar option.

3. Select match my cycle hangar permit.

4. When the form opens, choose whether you want to match a permit number or a waiting list entry.

5. Enter the relevant reference number.

6. Add any additional permits or waiting list reference numbers.

7. Submit the form. After the form has been processed, your permit or waiting list entry will appear on your MyAccount dashboard the next time you log in. From there, you will be able to renew your permit, join a waiting list, or apply for a new permit.

How to view details of your cycle hangar permit in MyAccount

Once signed in, under the parking permits section of your MyAccount, select cycle hangar permit. You will be taken to a page that shows the number and letter of your cycle hangar space.

Click continue for further information, including your subscription dates. Underneath this, you will find information on waiting lists and how to apply for a space or join a waiting list.
