Brighton & Hove City Council provides services for children and young people across the the city. We use information about the children and young people we provide services to, to enable us to carry out our responsibilities. For example, assessing any special educational needs a child may have. We gather information to create statistics to inform decisions on (for example) the funding of schools, and to assess the performance of schools and set targets for them. These statistics are used in such a way that individual children cannot be identified from them.
Brighton & Hove City Council holds personal information about children and young people. This information is shared with other organisations and protected under the Data Protection Act.
