Taxi Licensing - Search Public Register

Each Licensing authority is required to maintain a public register giving certain details of the current hackney carriage and private hire drivers' licences it has issued. Brighton & Hove drivers are issued with a dual licence which enables them to drive both types of vehicle.

Section 42 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847,Section 51(3) of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976 & the Equality Act 2010 specifies the requirements for the public registers.
