Report an accident involving your taxi

Use this form to tell us if your hackney carriage or private hire vehicle has been involved in an accident.

How to report an accident

You should report an accident within 72 hours.

We'll contact you to discuss the accident.

You'll need to tell us:

  • your address and contact details
  • where and when the accident happened
  • the licence number and registration number of the vehicle
  • the vehicle's mileage
  • the driver's name, date of birth and badge number
  • what happened in the accident and any damage caused - you can upload photos
