Our newsletter is the first in a series of regular updates covering events, services and developments related to special educational needs and disability services in Brighton and Hove.

Our newsletter includes information about:

  • the ‘What’s Out There’ event which showcases the support, activities and opportunities in the city for 16+ years olds and adults with learning disabilities and autism, as well as their carers and families
  • updates from health services around children’s wellbeing and mental health services, and the development of support around neuro-developmental conditions
  • changes to the way social care services are organised up to the age of 25, including the transition to adult services at 18 years of age
  • the development of an SEN strategy from 2020 to 2025 to cover services children, young people and adults with special educational needs and disabilities use throughout their whole life
