Pebbles

Brighton Pebbles runs various activities and days out for children and young people with SEND and their families.

Parklife, outdoor activity sessions based around table tennis

All children and young people must be accompanied by an adult to attend.

When and where the sessions are run

Tuesdays, from 10am to 12pm

Sessions will take place at the 3 table tennis tables at The Level with coaches.

Lagoon water fun sessions

All children and young people must be accompanied by an adult to attend.

Brighton Table Tennis Club

Table tennis and multi-activity sessions

All children and young people must be accompanied by an adult preferably from the same household to attend.

As these sessions will be held outdoors they may be subject to cancellation due to adverse weather.

When and where the sessions are run

The sessions take place at Moulsecoomb Primary School.

Turn Up and Play park sessions

A team of play staff will arrive with a kit of sports, art, sensory equipment and involve those that are at the allocated spaces for SEND in the designated parks.

No booking required – just turn up and play. All children and young people must be accompanied by an adult to join in.

mASCot

Girls group meet up

ASC group. Parent or carer must sign up to the mASCot group to access this activity.

When and where the session is run

This session is open for children aged between 5 and 12 years old. There are up to 42 places available for this activity - 3 groups of 8 to 15 children.

4 once weekly group personal training sessions facilitated by qualified Children’s PE instructor.

Who can attend

Children aged 13 and over, and their siblings. There are places available for around 6 to 8 people on these sessions.

Siblings support group online

ASC group. Parent or carer must sign up to the mASCot group to access this activity.

Weekly online support group in August for children and young teens who have an autistic sibling. The programme is based on ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy) and aims to build self-confidence, self-esteem and friendships between the attending individuals.

Teens and young people music session

3 x outdoor music jam sessions facilitated by specialist SEN music teacher.

These sessions are open for children aged 14 and older.

Paddleboarding courses

2 hour small group sessions facilitated by qualified instructors with SEN experience.

These sessions are open for children aged 12 and older. There are 20 to 24 places available on these sessions.

Supported social outdoor meet ups for teens and young people

ASC group. Parent or carer must sign up to the mASCot group to access this activity.

There will be 2 events, centring around something like a barbeque, picnic or dog walk.
