What we do
The Parent Carers’ Council (PaCC) is here to help parents and carers of children with additional needs in Brighton and Hove receive the best care from the services available to them. Any parent carer can become a member of the PaCC.
We work with education, health, social care and the voluntary sector to make sure that the voice of parent carers is heard and help them work towards best practice.
The forum is part of the National Network of Parent Carer Forums (NNPCF).
How we help
PaCC provides support by holding regular parent carer forums (PaCConnects) to gather views from our members and to provide feedback to Brighton & Hove City Council and other central services.
We ask our members about their views and opinions, and provide information about our activities through our website, e-bulletins, social media and the PaCC section of the Amaze newsletter.
Parent Reps
We currently have a team of 11 parent representatives, including our chair and vice chair, who have various areas of interest and expertise. Our reps sit with many different boards and groups and represent our community to the key decision makers involved in shaping services for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities. Read more about our Parent Reps.
PaCC Partners
PaCC works closely with several other charitable organisations that support parent carers and children and young people with additional needs. Read more about our PaCC Partners.
