We've aware of a national scam where people are asked to pay parking fines via text. We'll never text you to request a payment for a parking fine. We'll only contact you about parking fines via letter, or email if you have already provided it to us. If you have any doubts, contact the Parking Team.
Pay a school absence fine
If you get a fine, called a fixed penalty notice, because your child missed school you can pay it online.
Pay online
If you got a fine because your child was absent from school you can pay the fine online.
The council will send you a letter explaining why you got the fine, amount you need to pay and how to pay.
School attendance guidance
On the 19 August 2024, The Department of Education's new national framework relating to school absence fines came into effect. They have also published guidance for maintained schools, academies, independent schools and local authorities.
