About the Alternative Provision directory
This is the Brighton & Hove City Council directory of Alternative Provision providers.
These providers have been quality assured, to help schools and other local authority support services find high-quality services for children and young people.
Providers have gone through a 2-stage quality assurance framework to be listed in this directory:
- stage 1: a provider application form
- stage 2: a quality assurance visit
If you're a provider looking to work with schools and other local authority support services, send an email to Katie.Rowe@brighton-hove.gov.uk to begin this process.
Schools are strongly advised to request that new providers (and those they currently work with who are not yet listed) apply to the directory, before commissioning the provider.

Disclaimer
The providers listed in this Alternative Provision directory underwent an initial quality assurance process when they applied.
Providers are reviewed annually to ensure ongoing compliance with our standards. However, it remains the responsibility of schools to ensure that any provider they choose meets their specific requirements at the time of placement.
We recommend schools conduct their own due diligence to confirm that the service offered by the provider aligns with their current needs and expectations.
