Who can apply for a place

You can apply for a school place if you live in Brighton & Hove and your child needs to:

• start school for the first time
• move up to junior or secondary school in September

When you need to apply

Apply by:

• 15 January 2026, if you're applying to start infant or primary (reception) or junior (year 3) in September
• 31 October 2025, if you're apply to start secondary school (year 7) in September
