Refuse and recycling service disruption - Thursday 9 January 2025
Some rubbish and recycling collections have been halted by road conditions due to the weather.
Collections will resume as soon as it’s safe to do so. We will be taking steps to catch up as soon as roads are clear and we’re safely able to get vehicles through.
We’re sorry for any disruption and thank you for your patience.
How you can help
If we’ve missed your collection, please leave it out and we’ll pick it up as soon as we can.
- flatten all boxes and place in your bin - unflattened boxes take up extra space
- don’t leave extra waste beside a communal bin
- if you have too much waste or recycling, please keep it until your next collection or take it to one of our 64 recycling points or our Household Waste Recycling Sites.
Please don’t put your refuse in or near the communal recycling bins. This will cause further delays and could lead to the recycling being contaminated.
It’s important recycling goes in the right bin. If too many items are put in the wrong bin, it can all end up as waste instead of being recycled.
