How you can get involved as an individual

Brighton & Hove City Council organises a volunteer litter scheme called the Tidy Up Team. 

Find out how to join the Tidy Up Team and keep up to date with all our activities.

How your organisation can get involved 

If you are organising a community beach cleaning event for your corporation, school, community group, charity, or other organisation, send an email to us at least 14 days before your event.

How we can help

When we have received your email, we will:

• tell you how you can get involved 
• tell you how to get tools and equipment from one of the BIG Tidy Up Toolchests located along the seafront
• send you an up to date risk assessment which provides information on how to stay safe and enjoy your activity
• send you a copy of our terms and conditions - you'll need to complete this and return to us before we can provide access to the toolchests 

All litter collected should be left in, on, or beside a Brighton & Hove City Council bin.

Our team can't provide insurance cover for you or your organisation.
