Our sites and their opening hours

We have two Household Waste Recycling Sites in the city.

Hove recycling site

Our Hove site is off Old Shoreham Road, BN3 7AE, between Aldrington Avenue and Leighton Road.

The opening hours are:

Monday to Friday, 8am to 4.30pm
Saturday, 8.30am to 1.30pm
Sunday, 10.30am to 1.30pm
closed on bank holidays

There may be short delays while we empty containers during opening hours.

Brighton recycling site

Our Brighton site is in Whitehawk, off Wilson Avenue, BN2 5PA.

The opening hours are:

Monday to Friday: 8am to 4.30pm
Saturday and Sunday: 9am to 5pm
bank holidays: 9am to 5pm

Demand at our sites is often high, so when you visit:

only queue on the smaller access roads leading to the tips, not the major approach roads
be aware we may close the main gates up to 45 minutes before the published closing time, to clear vehicles already queuing on site
make sure you know what we can and can't accept at the sites
make sure you know how to access the sites, the restrictions in place and the documents you need to bring
