Why we're collecting your data
Brighton & Hove City Council is the data controller for purposes of the Data Protection Act 2018 and EU General Data Protection Regulation as of May 2018. We are registered as data controller with the Information Commissioner's Office, registration number Z5840053.
As a data controller we have a responsibility to make sure you know why are how your personal information is being collected in accordance with data protection law.
We're collecting your data to provide you with a waste container delivery and retrieval service.
We may use your data to contact you if more information is required for your task, or if you've asked for further communications from the service about your task.
We have a Public Task basis for collecting your data under Article 6 (1)(e) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation.
Your data may be shared internally within Brighton & Hove City Council.
We may also share your data with local authority partners including Surrey County Council and East Sussex County Council, with whom we have a shared service arrangement.
