All comments received during the Regulation 16 consultation will be sent to the appointed examiner along with the draft neighbourhood plan and supporting documents as submitted by the neighbourhood forum. The examiner will take any comments received into account and will consider whether the neighbourhood plan meets the basic conditions. There may be a need to answer pre-examination questions from the Examiner before the examination commences. The council will liaise with the forum during this process.
Following the examination, the examiner will issue a report to the council. If the plan meets the basic conditions the report will recommend that the plan proceed to the referendum stage. The examiner may also suggest modifications are needed to the plan so that it meets the basic conditions. The examiner can also recommend that the plan does not proceed to referendum.
