Due to icy roads and pavements, there's a disruption to some rubbish and recycling collections. We’ll work to catch up as the weather improves.
Please check our website for the latest collection updates for your street.
Learn about a historic planning application.
Details of all planning applications and decisions from 1997 to the present day are available on our planning register.
A planning history lists all planning permissions registered to a property.
For planning applications before 1997 you must complete a planning information request form (Word 42KB).
Email the form to planning.applications@brighton-hove.gov.uk.
We'll investigate and respond with details of the fee required.
All planning applications received after April 2016 are only available on the planning register.
The information held on older files will vary. It can depend on the year the application was submitted and the address. For example, if the property address is in Brighton, Hove or Portslade.
All historical planning files are held at our archive facility.
To order a file complete the planning information request form (MS Word 38KB) and email the form to planning.applications@brighton-hove.gov.uk.
We'll check to see if the file is still available and let you know the fee required.
After payment has been received, we'll order the files. When the files are available, we'll email them to you.
