Planning information request form

Learn about a historic planning application.

Details of all planning applications and decisions from 1997 to present day are available on our planning register.

Planning history and planning decisions

A planning history lists all planning permissions registered to a property.

For planning applications before 1997 you will to complete a planning information request form (Word 42KB).

Email the form to planning.applications@brighton-hove.gov.uk

We will investigate and respond with details of the fee required.

Archived planning application files

All planning applications received after April 2016 are only available on the planning register.

The information held on older files will vary. It can depend on the year the application was submitted and the address. For example if the property address is in Brighton, Hove or Portslade.

All historical planning files are held at our archive facility. We will need to order them.

You will only be able to view the file by appointment at:

Hove Customer Service Centre
Hove Town Hall
Norton Road
Hove
BN3 4AH
