New City Plan

A new City Plan

We're preparing a new City Plan which will set out a framework of planning policies to guide future development in the city up to 2044. We're preparing it under the new national plan-making system.

We'll adopt the new City Plan in 2029. Until then our current City Plan Part One and City Plan Part Two will remain in effect.

In the coming months we'll publish our Notice of Intention to commence plan preparation.
