Direction
(a) That an article 4 Direction under the General Development Order 1977, be made on numbers 28 to 31 and 36 to 45 Russell Square, removing from the category of permitted development any painting works of external redecoration to the front elevations and the panting of the north elevation of number 28 Russell Square.
(b) That the colour scheme as follows be approved:
- all external walls and mouldings must be cream (BS 10 B 15) with a gloss or smooth masonry paint finish
- columns and parapets must be white with a gloss finish
- If already painted, canopies must be cream (BS 10 B 15) with a gloss finish
- all woodwork must be white with a gloss finish
- all architectural ironwork, gates and railings must be black with a gloss finish
- the colour of front and basement doors is optional, but they must have a gloss finish
Where the recommended colour scheme is not used the Council will seek to require the property to be repainted in the correct colours.
