Direction
(a) That an article 4 Direction under the General development Order 1988, be made on 1 to 5 and 30 to 45 Norfolk Square and Dorchester Court, removing from the category of permitted development and painting works of external redecoration to:
- the front east facing elevations of the properties numbered 1 to 5 and Dorchester Court. Norfolk Square
- the exterior north facing elevation to numbers 30 to 34 Norfolk Square
- the exterior west facing elevations to numbers 35 to 45 Norfolk Square
- the exterior south facing elevations to number 35 Norfolk Square
(b) That the colour scheme as follows be approved:
- all external walls, mouldings and downpipes must have a gloss or smooth masonry paint finish. They can be one of the following colours:
- White
- Sandstone (BS 08 B17)
- Honeysuckle (BS 08 031)
- Hopsack (BS 10 B 17)
- Buttermilk (BS 10 B15)
- all woodwork must be white with a gloss finish
- all architectural ironwork, gates and railings must be black with a gloss finish
- the colour of front and basement doors is optional, but they must have a gloss finish
Please note that in line with the proposed EEC Directives, the use of lead based paint will no longer be eligible for grant assistance.
Where the recommended colour scheme is not used the Council will seek to require the property to be repainted in the correct colours.
