Request documents and costs
You can ask for a copy of a Building Regulations Completion Certificate or plans approval.
Please email your request to planning.applications@brighton-hove.gov.uk
You’ll need to tell us:
- what information you need, such as the type of document
- the site address or application number
- a description of the work
- whether you want an email or hard copy
- the address to which the document should be sent
A copy of a Building Regulations Completion Certificate costs £16.30.

History search
Request a history search of a property by email to planning.applications@brighton-hove.gov.uk
You’ll need to tell us:
- the site address
- whether you want an email or hard copy
- the address to send the document to
A building control history search costs £26.50.
How to pay
Visit our payments page to pay your fees online.
- Look at the list of payment types on the left hand side of the page.
- Select 'Building Regulation no invoice’.
- Complete the fields as instructed on the page.
