MyAccount maintenance

Due to maintenance, MyAccount will be unavailable between 10:45am and 11:30am on Tuesday 20 January 2026. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Planning Register

There are currently some technical difficulties with the Planning Register. As an alternative, if you cannot access the register, send an email to planning.applications@brighton-hove.gov.uk.

Bin collections

Due to icy roads and pavements, there's a disruption to some rubbish and recycling collections. We’ll work to catch up as the weather improves.

Please check our website for the latest collection updates for your street.

Validation of planning applications

Processing times for planning applications are longer than usual. We have reduced the backlog from 200 to 45 applications over the last few weeks. However this still means delays of about 1 week before we can start processing an application. We're doing our best to process applications as quickly as possible, and we appreciate your patience.
