Join a waiting list for a resident parking permit
Why some parking zones have a waiting list and how to join them.
Waiting lists for resident parking permits
Currently zone M, zone Y and zone Z have a waiting list.
If you move to an address in one of these zones you will need to join a waiting list to get a resident parking permit.
Why there's a waiting list
Due to the number of flats and houses in Brighton & Hove and the amount of available parking spaces, we have waiting lists for certain parking zones.
How the waiting list works
Each parking zone has a set number of resident parking permits available. Waiting times vary depending on the number of permits returned or not renewed.
Blue Badge permit holders do not need to join the waiting list.
If you move from one waiting list parking zone to another, return your current parking permit and join the waiting list for your new parking zone.

While you're on the waiting list
While you're waiting for your resident parking permit, you can buy visitor parking permits. These are single day permits that you or your visitors can use to park in your zone.
