How to renew your resident parking permit.
When to renew your resident parking permit
Complete your renewal application at least 7 days before your existing permit expires. If we approve your application we will send your permit via first class post.
You can renew your resident parking permit from 6 weeks before it's expiry date.
If your permit has expired, apply for a new resident parking permit.
If you live in a waiting list zone and do not renew before your permit expires, you will have to rejoin the waiting list.

What you'll need to renew
Proof of address
We'll ask you to upload evidence of your address each time you renew your permit. This is to check you are still eligible for a permit and helps to prevent fraud.
You'll need to upload a copy of a proof of address. This must be addressed to you and dated within the last 3 months.
This can be something like a:
- utility bill
- bank statement
- council tax bill for the current financial year
- mortgage or tenancy agreement
Vehicle's insurance
You need to upload the schedule or summary page of your current vehicle's insurance document.
It must show all of the following:
- your name
- the vehicle registration mark
- the address where the vehicle is kept overnight which matches the address in your proof of residency
- valid dates of insurance
