A Controlled Parking Zones (CPZ) or residents' parking schemes are areas where on-street parking is restricted.
To request a CPZ, you have to submit a petition. The Full Council or Cabinet receive the petition.
Petitions that receive sufficient support will be considered by Cabinet Members when the next parking scheme timetable is considered.
We recommend that you check for current petitions or check if there's been a previous petition in your area before you make your request.

Find your address on our parking zone map to see if you live in a CPZ.
We send out an initial consultation to addresses within the proposed area. This lets us see whether there's general support for a scheme.
If residents vote in favour of a CPZ, a further detailed design consultation will take place.
