Parking bay suspensions and accompanying parking enforcement ensure that events take place safely and consider the rest of the city’s transportation needs.
In 2023 to 2024 parking bay suspensions were organised for the Brighton Marathon, Brighton Half Marathon, and Pride. The Contracts Team initiated an event enforcement strategy, which involved making courtesy phone calls to residents for large-scale events.
Brighton & Hove also welcomed back TV and film production crews, with productions such as The Death of Bunny Munro and Grace being filmed in and around the city.
