Where parking zone Y is
Parking Zone Y covers the northern area of central Brighton.
How the zone works
In zone Y there are:
- some areas set aside for the use of permit holders only
- some areas which are shared between permit holders and paid parking
- some areas which are for paid parking only
- short lengths of the road which are marked out for loading bays
- resident, visitor and carers permits available
- disabled and motorcycle bays available
- doctors bays also available throughout the zone
Before you apply, check if your road or property is not eligible for resident parking permits. If your road or property is not eligible, you can not apply for a resident parking permit. However you can apply for residents’ visitor permits.
What hours the restrictions operate
Always check the signs on street. They will give you the information you need when you're parking.
