Where parking zones B and D are

Controlled parking zones B and D cover the match and event day parking areas in Coldean (zone B) and Moulsecoomb (zone D). 

Unlike other controlled parking zones, the restrictions in zones B and D only come into effect on certain days when football matches or special events are taking place at the American Express Community Stadium.

One resident permit and one transferable visitor permit is available to each adult resident, free of charge, within these zones.

Apply for a resident or business permit in this zone

Download and print the permit application form. You need to select the option for zones B and D - match day parking on the application form.

Please use the permit application form above to apply for both free residents permits or free business permits. We will also send you a free visitors permit if you are applying for a resident permit.

If you are applying for a resident permit remember to enclose a copy of one proof of residency dated within the last 3 months and a copy of your vehicle document with your application form.  

If you are applying for a business permit write the word “Business” in the zone B and D part of the application form and cross through the word “Residents”. Remember to enclose copies of two proofs of business and a copy of your vehicle document with your application form. 

The Parking Permit centre at Hove Town Hall is closed so we are unable to process application forms in person.

Renew your permit in this zone 

Download and print the permit renewal form. You need to select the option for zones B and D - match day parking on the application form. We will also send you a free visitors permit if you are applying for a resident permit.

If you are renewing your resident permit remember to enclose a copy of one proof of residency and a copy of your vehicle document with your application form.

How it works and when it operates

In zones B and D:

  • resident, visitor and business permits are available
  • on match and event days, permit holders can park on any part of the road not marked out with yellow lines, as long as their permit is clearly being displayed
  • disabled bays are also available
  • motorcycles can park on any part of the road not marked out with yellow lines.

There is no paid parking in zones B or D.

Premier League games can be played at different times and days to the traditional Saturday 3pm kick off. We advise residents to check the fixture list regularly.

Match dates can change and there can be additional matches, like FA Cup ties, Carabao Cup ties and pre-season friendlies.

Always check the signs on street. They will give you the information you need when you're parking.

There are signs on entry to zones B and D, with additional signs on lamp columns.
