We want everyone to be able to access safe, sustainable and inclusive travel in Brighton & Hove.
One journey better by bike

You can book a place on a cycling course.
One journey better to work
Brighton & Hove City Council offers support to businesses and organisations to update and develop travel plans that encourage a shift towards sustainable travel.

One journey better to work - looking for work
If you're looking for work and live in the project areas shown on the fund area map, we can offer up to £300 of practical help.
We could, for example, give you waterproof shoes and a coat if you’d like to do more walking, or we could help you to buy a cycle, or contribute your first month of public transport to a new job.
Make an appointment to tell us about your work search and travel needs, send an email to simon.hickmott@brighton-hove.gov.uk or phone 07876 394 865.
One journey better to school and early years settings
The school travel team at Brighton & Hove City Council offers support, advice and guidance to schools and early years settings across the city. This is to up-date and develop school travel and action plans.
School travel plans encourage safer, more active and sustainable travel for children and their families.
