A23 Phase 1 consultation drawings

Important features of Phase 1 design include: 

• a new segregated bi-directional cycle lane between Argyle Road and Stanford Avenue 
• a new light-controlled pedestrian crossing between The Rookery and Preston Park
• improvements to pedestrian crossings near Argyle Road and Springfield Road 
• rationalisation of the Springfield Road and Stanford Avenue (northbound) bus stops into a new floating bus stop 
• new stepped cycle tracks between Stanford Avenue and South Road 
• new floating bus stops at the Preston Drove (southbound) bus stop
• widening of existing footways and improvements to other pedestrian facilities
