Pay by Direct Debit
How to pay for services by Direct Debit.
You can set up a direct debit for the following services:
- Business rates
- Council Tax
- Council housing, car parking space and garage rent charges
- Council leaseholders and central collection team
- Housing benefit invoices.
Before you start
To set up a direct debit, you'll need:
- bill or reference number, such as the invoice or account number, for the service that you are paying
- bank details.
If your bank account requires permission from more than one person to set up a direct debit you’ll need to use a paper form. This is so we can get signatures from all the people involved.
Most services will allow you to choose from several different payment dates, so you can choose the date that best works for you.
