Stopping smoking is one of the best things you can do to improve your health. Stopping smoking can feel overwhelming, especially if you have smoked for a long time, but getting the right support gives you the best chance of quitting.

Healthy Lifestyles Team extended Stop Smoking Service for adults (18+)
The Healthy Lifestyles team can now offer a free 4-week vape kit to eligible smokers. To find out more about this offer complete the Healthy Lifestyles Team self-referral form.
The Healthy Lifestyles team offers free support from a trained stop-smoking advisor. This extended service includes:
- regular 1-2-1 behaviour change support for up to 12 weeks
- a free 4-week vape kit, eligible smokers must be over 18, living in Brighton & Hove and have their smoking status confirmed with a carbon monoxide monitor test
- Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) for up to 12 weeks - standard prescription charges apply
Support can be provided remotely or in person, there may be a short wait for this service.

Local pharmacy support to stop smoking
Stop-smoking pharmacies offer free support with a trained stop-smoking advisor, the service includes:
- Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) for up to 12 weeks (standard prescription charges will apply)
- 1-2-1 behaviour change support for up to 4 weeks
There is usually no waiting list for this service.
