When you’ll hear from us
We will write to you to let you know the SEN panel’s decision within 6 weeks of your request for an education, health and care (EHC) assessment.
In the letter we will explain why:
- we think your child doesn’t need an EHC assessment
- the information you gave us about your child does not show that they need an EHC assessment
- we think your child’s early years setting, which includes childminders and nurseries, schools and colleges can support your child’s needs without an EHC plan
Help you can get
You can contact your child's childcare provider, school or college to find out how they can support your child.
If you disagree with a decision, you can talk to your SEN casework officer for advice.
