1. Purpose of the report
1.1
To update the Schools Forum on the latest DfE adjustment to the DSG allocation for 2021/22.
2. Recommendations
2.1
To note the updated gross DSG for 2021/22 of £199.537m (before Academy recoupment of £17.726m).
3. Overall DSG 2021/22
3.1
The table provides a summary of the 2021/22 DSG allocation published by the DfE in July 2021.
3.2
Since the last report to Forum in June 2021 the high needs block has been reduced by £132k due to an increase in the import / export adjustment. This is an adjustment that reflects the relative position of high needs pupils being educated outside of the city against those being ‘imported’ in.
3.3
Further adjustments will be made by DfE later in the year to reflect updates for high needs and early years funding bloc
