The Prince Regent, King Alfred and St Luke's swimming pools have been awarded government funding following a successful bid from the council and Freedom Leisure.

Since April, £9m of additional funding from property developers has been used to support local projects and improvements including transport initiatives, recreation facilities, education, health and affordable housing.

Services are being held across the city to mark this year’s Remembrance Day. Events begin on Thursday 9 November and continue over the weekend, with some road closures on Sunday 12 November.
