Around 50 elm trees in Coldean woods need to be removed after the discovery of a large outbreak of elm disease in the area. The work will begin on Wednesday 4 August and is expected to take three to five days.

City’s MPs and council leader welcome prospect of pilot project for HIV testing

Health minister Jo Churchill has replied to a letter proposing Brighton & Hove could be a pilot to normalise HIV testing across health services which could make it available when people attend A&E, register for a new GP and in local pharmacies.
