The government have announced that Brighton & Hove is to move to Tier 4 from Boxing Day. The stay at home rules come in from 00.01 on Boxing Day morning.

Accommodation, food and support is available for anyone sleeping rough in the city who needs the council’s help this Christmas.

Business grants are available for the November lockdown, the tier 2 December restrictions that followed, and Christmas support payments for pubs and bars.

New grant scheme to provide additional help for vulnerable people this winter

Small grants up to £5,000 are available for community & voluntary organisations in the city to deliver extra support quickly for vulnerable residents this winter. The first application deadline is 13 January 2021.

A new Covid local testing centre is opening in Preston Park from 20 December.

Covid testing site to open in Preston Park

Tests must be booked online or by phoning 119. Anyone with Covid symptoms should immediately self-isolate and book a test.
