Welcome to new council homes in Kensington Street

The first residents of 12 recently-completed council-rented properties in Kensington Street in the North Laine have been welcomed to their new homes. The homes are the latest development completed in our New Homes for Neighbourhoods programme.

Valley Gardens works update - August 2019

A critical stage of work on the Valley Gardens project starts on Monday 2 September, when all general traffic will move to the eastern side of the gardens, allowing work to start on shared spaces on the western side. Signed diversions will be in place around the area and at key exit points. Buses will continue to operate as normal.

Officers from East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service have now left the scene after putting out a fire at Hollingdean waste transfer station. Smoke from the fire has now dispersed. Refuse and recycling collections are continuing as usual.

Changes to the government's national Blue Badge scheme means people with non-physical disabilities, such as dementia and anxiety disorders, are now able to apply for Blue Badges, enabling them to park nearer to their destination.
