A proposal to reopen Madeira Drive to one-way traffic, with a two-way protected cycle lane, more space for pedestrians and an increase in parking bays for blue badge holders will be considered by councillors next week.
A plan to improve the city's walking and cycling network will be brought before committee on 25 June. The plan aims to improve walking and cycling links in the city as well as enhancing links with neighbouring areas, including the South Downs National Park.
A report setting out how the Valley Gardens scheme will support events in the city will be presented to committee on 25 June. Plans include introducing a new central park, more public spaces and better walking and cycling links in the area.
