Covid cases slowing but too soon to relax

The decline in confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Brighton & Hove has started to slow after the rapid falls in recent weeks. It’s a reminder that we need to keep to the stay at home rule until 29 March.

Symptom-free testing will pave road to lockdown freedom

Confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Brighton & Hove fall again this week by 30% and symptom-free tests for people who need to work away from home are launched across Sussex.

Symptom-free community testing is now available in test centres and participating pharmacies across Sussex

Anyone aged 18 and over who needs to leave home for work or to help others, and doesn't have access to testing through other routes is encouraged to book in for symptom-free Covid-19 tests twice a week.

Covid cases continue to fall as lockdown easing roadmap approaches

Over 70,000 people in Brighton & Hove have now received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine and rates of infection in the city continue to fall. Please keep following the rules to help keep rates low.

Brighton & Hove City Council keeps the city’s Covid-19 alert level status at yellow for the second consecutive week.

Covid-19 alert status stays yellow

Brighton & Hove City Council is keeping the city’s Covid-19 alert level status at yellow this week. There were 47 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the city up to 17 September (based on data published on 21 September), down from 59 cases in the week up to 10 September.
