Budget agreed for 2019/20

The Brighton & Hove City Council budget for 2019/20 was set at Budget Council on Thursday 28 February. The budget includes an increase of the council’s element of council tax of 2.99%

The council’s biggest annual financial decision will be made later this month when councillors meet to debate the council budget for the financial year ahead. 

Changes to political groups at the council

Councillor Anne Meadows announced that she is leaving the Labour Group and joining the Conservative Group. Councillor Warren Morgan also announced he is leaving the Labour Group.
