Statement on Manchester synagogue attack
The Leader of Brighton & Hove City Council, Councillor Bella Sankey has issued a statement following the attack at a Manchester synagogue.
Councillor Sankey, said: "I’m appalled to hear of the attack on the Jewish community in Manchester, especially on Yom Kippur, a day of deep spiritual significance.
"To target people during such a sacred moment is heartbreaking. The rise of anti-Semitism in recent years is unacceptable and my thoughts are with everyone affected, and with the wider Jewish community who will be feeling the impact of this violence and violation.
"We stand in solidarity with our Jewish Communities. We must stand together against anti-Semitism and hate and ensure safety of our communities."
