With a little under 300 days to go until Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 kicks off in England, and with more than 130,000 tickets already sold, fans can now apply for tickets across all matches in what promises to be the biggest celebration of women’s rugby.
Following the match schedule announcement, which includes two matches scheduled for Brighton & Hove Albion Stadium, the ticket application phase opens at 11am today (5 November).
Biggest stars
Fans have two weeks to apply for a chance to see the world’s best 16 teams and rugby’s biggest stars compete across the length and breadth of England.
Matches in Brighton & Hove will include the current World Cup title holders New Zealand, as well as England’s Red Roses, who have gone into the tournament as the highest ranking – men’s or women’s – rugby team in history.
The two matches scheduled for Brighton & Hove Community Stadium are:
- Saturday 6 September: England v Australia (kick-off 5pm)
- Sunday 7 September: New Zealand v Ireland (kick-off 2.45pm)
With the number of tickets sold during the presale period nearly surpassing the total number of tickets ever sold for a women’s rugby world cup, fans are urged not to miss out, with high demand expected for matches featuring hosts England, the knockout stages, and the highly coveted final.
Great line-up
Council leader Bella Sankey said: “With such a great line-up, tickets for the Brighton & Hove games look set to fly. We look forward to welcoming teams and fans – and showcasing our great city to a worldwide audience.”
Brighton & Hove Albion chief operating officer Paul Mullen added: “Hosting these matches is a huge honour for the club, the stadium and the city.
"Just as we saw with the football at the Euros here in 2022, the city of Brighton & Hove has a great passion for these sporting events, and people will come out to support all the teams, not least the home nation England.”
